This Premier Cru Chablis was made by one of the first families to sell wine in Burgundy – so they really know what they’re doing. The Pinson family have been making wine since 1640. Now, they have some 14 hectares, with holdings in Grand Cru, Premier Cru, and village-level Chablis vineyards. Each wine is made in the classic Chablis style while expressing the distinctive character of the vineyard. 100% Chardonnay, this wine is fermented with wild yeasts then spends 12 months in French oak, which adds a richness to the final wine. Expect ripe apple and pear, white flowers, citrus, and subtle oak. Full-bodied, it’s perfect with creamy cheese, roast chicken, or fish pie.
