Chapelle de Potensac is all about quality over quantity, keeping their low-yielding old vines as long as possible – and you can really taste it in this Médoc red. Chapelle de Potensac is a family-owned wine estate that has been passed down by generations. The Delon family also own Château Leoville Las Cases in St Julien, and are dedicated to making structured, age-worthy wines. This classic Médoc red is a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. It’s aged in oak barrels for 12 months followed by four months in stainless steel before bottling. Powerful and rich, expect flavours of cherry, strawberry, and blackberry. The chalky tannins make it the perfect pairing with red meats and hard cheese. Drink now or cellar for up to 15 years.
