These three pairs of men’s SOCKSHOP TORE 100% Recycled Multi Stripe Cotton Socks are an innovation; the world’s first 100% recycled socks. Not one bit of new cotton, polyester, polyamide or elastane has been used, yet they feel soft, look great and are durable and comfortable, and we’re very proud. TORE stands for TOtally REcycled, and the whole eco-friendly range is made using reclaimed fibres that were previously destined to end up in landfill. It’s important that we’re doing this, because right now, fashion is the third largest user of water globally and 10,000 items of clothing are being sent to landfill every five minutes. Each TORE triple pack is 2.4 water bottles and 0.6 t-shirts turned into socks rather than being turned into yet more landfill. It’s two years worth of drinking water saved and it’s a step towards sustainability. Even the dye we’re using to colour the yarn is environmentally non-harmful, and our cardboard packaging is yes, recycled.
