This lens features a wide, bright and fast constant f2.8 aperture that allows for enhanced low-light performance but also offers expressive control of depth of field and subject-background separation. Adding to its versatility and flexibility, the lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 18cm, which means you can experiment with close-up shooting as well as portraiture, landscape and street photography. The Leica SL2-S takes inspiration from the SL2 body, but differs in key areas to include the sensor, low-light performance, and video capabilities. The SL2-S is equipped with a 24.6MP Full-Frame BSI CMOS Sensor which has been optimised for low-light shooting, offering an expanded ISO range from 50-100000. Video-wise, the SL2-S offers DCI 4K Video with H.264/MOV 4:2:2 10-Bit Recording.
